Abstract

Objectives: To validate the collective golden ratios (shoulder-waist 1.52; waist-hip 0.71; hip-knee 1.63) proposed by Lema Caribbean Silhouette technique through three‑dimensional anthropometric analysis in Latin American, with recruitment until December 2025.

Materials and methods: A cross‑sectional observational study was conducted in 180 healthy women aged 18 to 45 years, recruited between January 2024 and December 2025 in Latin American. A 3D body scan (Structure Sensor®) was performed and 24 anthropometric measurements were extracted according to the ISAK protocol. The three ratios were calculated and compared with the Lema reference values using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Bland‑Altman analysis.

Results: The obtained means were: shoulder‑waist 1.52±0.04; waist‑hip 0.71±0.02; hip‑knee 1.63±0.05. Agreement was excellent: ICC >0.91 (p<0.001) and biases <0.01. No differences were found between countries or between recruitment periods (p>0.05).

Conclusions: The collective golden ratios of the Lema Caribbean Silhouette technique are valid for the studied Latin American population up to 2025, constituting an objective reference for body contouring planning in the region.
